These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Cockpit Sim Parts website.

The website is operated by:

Cockpit Sim Parts LTD
Unit M Paper Mill Road
Cardiff
CF11 8DH
United Kingdom

Company Registration Number: 08198747
Registered in England and Wales.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. About Our Products

Cockpit Sim Parts LTD designs and manufactures components primarily for flight simulation, home cockpit and hobby use.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, our products are not certified aircraft components and must not be used in real aircraft or for safety-critical aviation applications.

Some product photographs are provided for illustration purposes. Customers should read the complete product description, specifications and options before ordering.

Minor variations in colour, finish or appearance may occur due to manufacturing processes, materials, lighting and display settings.

2. Placing an Order

Customers are required to create an account before placing an order through our website.

After an order has been placed, an order confirmation will be sent to the email address associated with the customer's account.

An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of the order. Where appropriate, we may subsequently contact the customer regarding manufacturing lead times, custom requirements or delivery arrangements.

Customers are responsible for checking that the products, quantities, options, delivery address and contact information supplied with their order are correct.

If an error is discovered, please contact us as soon as possible.

3. Prices & Payment

Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency selected or otherwise indicated during checkout.

Cockpit Sim Parts LTD is not currently VAT registered and therefore does not charge UK VAT.

Available payment methods may include:

  • PayPal

  • Stripe / debit or credit card

  • Bank transfer

  • Payment on collection, where agreed

  • Deposit payment, where offered on selected products

Available payment methods will be displayed during checkout or agreed directly with the customer where appropriate.

Orders paid by bank transfer will not normally enter production or be dispatched until payment has cleared.

4. Manufacturing & Lead Times

Many Cockpit Sim Parts products are manufactured or assembled to order.

Estimated manufacturing lead times may be displayed on individual product pages or provided following an order.

A manufacturing lead time is the estimated period required to manufacture, prepare and pack an order. It does not include the carrier's delivery time after dispatch.

Lead times are estimates and may occasionally change due to order volume, material availability, production requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Where a specific delivery deadline is essential, customers should contact us before placing an order.

5. Deposit Orders

A deposit option may be offered on selected made-to-order products. Where available, the required deposit amount will be stated on the product page or agreed with the customer.

Payment of a deposit allows production of the order to be scheduled.

We will normally contact the customer as the order approaches completion and request payment of the outstanding balance.

Unless otherwise agreed, the outstanding balance should be paid within 7 days of the balance request. Customers requiring additional time should contact us before the payment deadline.

We may agree to extend the payment period up to a maximum of 14 days.

If payment remains outstanding after the agreed period and we have been unable to agree alternative arrangements with the customer, we reserve the right to suspend completion or delivery and, where appropriate, take reasonable steps to recover our costs, including offering non-personalised goods for resale.

Any treatment of deposits or advance payments following cancellation will be subject to applicable consumer law and will take account of the nature of the product, work already undertaken and reasonable losses incurred.

6. Custom, Personalised & Made-to-Specification Products

Some products can be manufactured or modified specifically to a customer's requirements, including changes to dimensions, openings, engraving, layout, colour or other specifications.

Where goods are made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised, statutory change-of-mind cancellation rights may not apply.

We will make this clear where applicable.

Customers ordering customised products are responsible for carefully checking and approving any measurements, drawings, specifications or other information supplied to us.

This does not affect a customer's statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or not as described.

7. Cancellation & Returns – Standard Products

For standard, non-personalised products purchased online by UK consumers, customers normally have the right to cancel their purchase within 14 days after receiving the goods, without giving a reason.

After notifying us of cancellation, the goods should normally be returned within a further 14 days.

Returned products should be properly packaged and customers should take reasonable care of them while they are in their possession.

Customers may normally be responsible for the direct cost of returning unwanted goods unless the goods are faulty, incorrect or otherwise not in conformity with the contract.

Where the statutory cancellation right applies, we will refund the amount required by applicable consumer law, including the appropriate standard outbound delivery charge where applicable.

We may make a lawful deduction for diminished value where goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

We do not apply a general 20% restocking fee where a customer is exercising a statutory cancellation right.

8. Customised Products & Returns

Products made to a customer's individual specifications or clearly personalised cannot normally be returned simply because the customer has changed their mind.

This includes products manufactured, engraved, cut or substantially modified according to customer-supplied specifications.

However, this does not affect statutory rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly manufactured or not as described.

9. Faulty, Incorrect or Damaged Products

If you receive a product that is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask for photographs or other information to help us identify the problem and arrange the appropriate remedy.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits the rights customers have under applicable consumer law in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.

10. Shipping & Delivery

We deliver within the United Kingdom and to many international destinations.

Depending on destination, parcel size and the shipping option selected, orders may be sent using carriers such as Royal Mail, FedEx, DHL or another suitable delivery provider.

Shipping options and charges are normally displayed during checkout.

Estimated carrier delivery times begin after the order has been dispatched and are separate from any manufacturing lead time.

Tracking information will be provided where a tracked service is used.

11. Loss or Damage During Delivery

For consumer orders where we arrange delivery, Cockpit Sim Parts LTD remains responsible for the goods until they are delivered into the physical possession of the customer or another person identified by the customer to receive them, subject to applicable law.

Customers are therefore not required to purchase separate shipping insurance to retain their statutory rights.

If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the packaging before opening it where possible.

Please retain the outer packaging, shipping label and internal packaging and contact us promptly with photographs of:

  • the outer packaging;

  • the shipping label;

  • the internal packaging; and

  • the damaged product.

This information assists us when making a claim against the carrier and does not affect the customer's statutory rights.

12. International Orders, Import VAT & Customs

Customers outside the United Kingdom may be required to pay import VAT, customs duties, clearance charges, handling fees or other charges imposed by the destination country.

Unless expressly stated otherwise during checkout, these charges are not included in our product prices or shipping charges and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Customers are responsible for checking their country's import requirements before ordering.

If an international shipment is refused because the recipient does not pay applicable import or customs charges and the parcel is returned to us, we may deduct from any refund amounts that we are lawfully entitled to recover, such as return transportation or other direct costs incurred.

Custom or personalised goods remain subject to the provisions concerning customised products above.

13. Delivery Address & Undeliverable Parcels

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please contact us immediately if an address needs correcting.

Once a parcel has been dispatched, we cannot guarantee that a delivery address can be changed.

Where a parcel is returned because an incorrect or incomplete address was supplied, or because delivery was repeatedly attempted but could not be completed, additional reasonable delivery costs may be payable before the order is sent again.

14. Order Status

Your PrestaShop customer account may display order statuses including:

Awaiting payment – Payment has not yet cleared or been received.

Preparation in progress – The order is being manufactured, prepared or packed.

On backorder – One or more products are awaiting stock, materials or production.

Shipped – The order has been dispatched.

Cancelled – The order has been cancelled.

Refunded – A refund has been processed.

The wording displayed in the customer account may vary depending on the payment or shipping method used.

15. Product Compatibility & Installation

Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended simulator setup unless compatibility has been expressly confirmed by Cockpit Sim Parts LTD.

Some products are supplied as components for DIY simulator projects and may require assembly, wiring, electronics, interface cards, software or other components that are not included unless specifically stated in the product description.

Customers should follow appropriate electrical and installation practices when assembling or connecting components.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Cockpit Sim Parts LTD will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was entered into.

Products sold for flight simulation must not be relied upon for real-world aircraft operation or safety-critical aviation purposes.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, photographs, product images, graphics, text and original designs appearing on our website are owned by or licensed to Cockpit Sim Parts LTD.

They may not be reproduced or used commercially without prior written permission.

Third-party trademarks, aircraft manufacturer names and product names remain the property of their respective owners. Their use on our website does not imply affiliation with or endorsement by those trademark owners.

18. Privacy

Personal information supplied through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

Customers may choose whether to subscribe to marketing communications and can unsubscribe from such communications where applicable.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

The terms applicable to an order will normally be those in effect when the order is placed.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence that cannot lawfully be excluded by these terms.
